The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States, or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created.
9 Principles
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the external rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is know. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government…equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson
12 Values
1. Honesty
2. Reverence
3. Hope
4. Thrift
5. Humility
6. Charity
7. Sincerity
8. Moderation
9. Hard Work
10. Courage
11. Personal Responsibility
12. Gratitude

Working for the Weekend
It’s Thursday and my busy week is over. Thank God! Whoop! I had to do two tests, three quizzes, and a lab report. I did it. I made it through the week without going crazy. I’m glad it’s over, and I can enjoy the weekend stress free. Thank goodness the weekend is almost here. I have worked hard (at least I think I have) and I have been waiting for the weekend. It’s here! Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, free at last.

Wat in the heck should I write about?
I have been talking a long time about starting up a blog. I told myself I got so many good ideas for blogs, it’s crazy! So I went to blogger.com and set up an account so I can blog and rant about everything I see and hear. Well, now I have an account at this blog place, and I don’t have any ideas. I’m totally clueless on what to write about! Should I write about school or how things are going? What about what I saw on TV the other day? The weather? I guess I could, but there is only so much you can say about the weather in College Station, Texas. Where did all my ideas go? I mean I had bunches of ideas. I would have blown your mind!
Maybe not…
It’s funny that when you have a good idea or remember something, it usually comes to you at the most random time, but when you need to remember something, you have a brain fart and sit there for an hour just to think of something. Oh well. Guess that’s how life goes sometimes.
Speaking of life, mine is going alright. I’m alive. I go to a great school (and by great I mean HARD). I have wonderful parents and good friends. What more could I ask for? I tell you what I could ask for, some ice cream. I found out we had a Marble Slab here and I’m craving some, BAD!
Cross Canadian Ragweed is coming the 20th and I am super pumped for that concert. I like Cross Canadian Ragweed (I would say CCR but that’s another band) because they got that rock sound that I just love in music. I have been jamming to them all week on the iPod. (Hopefully, my friends get off there asses and go get the tickets because if they don’t I swear I will use some of my PG-13 language).
I wish spring would get here soon. I am ready to put some shorts and flip flops on without freezing my nalgas off. That happened to me and I will never make that mistake twice. I love spring. I like the weather. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon, PERFECT golf weather. I just love going out and playing eighteen and enjoying the day. It’s the best game in the world, other than Marker Throw (a game we played in physics last year to pass the time).
Hey I just realized something. I think I just wrote my first blog. Well, I’ll be damned. I guess it wasn’t so hard to write after all.
